Cassian arrives at the palace grounds on a white horse. He dismounts and walks with the reins, tormented by guilt over Seraphina being sent away. He remembers an earlier promise to spend his life making amends for her wound. Cassian then steps onto the red carpet toward the altar. When the veiled bride turns around and smiles at him, Cassian discovers Elena standing before him instead of Seraphina.

Cassian rides a white horse onto the palace grounds. He dismounts and leads the horse forward by its reins. As he walks, he agonizes over Seraphina being sent away and questions why he did not fight harder for her.
