Serena Hale walks into her bedroom and finds her fiancé, Jake Ross, in bed with Mia. Serena slaps Jake and pulls Mia to the floor. Jake reveals that Mia is pregnant with his child. Serena cancels their engagement party and leaves. Jake promises Mia he will ruin Serena. Out on a dark, wet street, a masked kidnapper grabs Serena and knocks her out. She wakes up pinned down by an unknown man in a suit.
