Selina experiences painful labor contractions in her bedchamber. Outside, pack members kneel under a blood-red moon by a fire altar. Dominic is in a secret room with Ivy on a fur-covered bench. Ivy reminds him of the birth and tells him to offer blood to the ancestors for his heir. Dominic leaves. Ivy laces her dress and enters the bedchamber. She wipes Selina's forehead while Selina asks where Dominic is.
Selina lies in her bedchamber experiencing intense labor contractions. She cries out in agony as the pains take hold of her body. A midwife attends to her during the difficult birth.
A massive blood-red moon hangs in the sky above the pack grounds. Pack members kneel together on the ground while a man raises a ritual dagger directly in front of a fire altar.
Ivy lies on a fur-covered bench with Dominic in a secret room. She reminds Dominic about Selina's labor and urges him to offer blood to the ancestors to bless his heir. Dominic listens and leaves.
Ivy stands alone in the stone corridor after Dominic departs from the room. She carefully laces up the back of her black dress before turning to walk straight toward Selina's birth chamber.
Ivy enters the room and wipes sweat from Selina's forehead. Selina panics and asks where her husband is. Ivy gives her a reassuring smile and tells her that Dominic is coming.
“She's in labor, Selina, tonight.”
“Then you should go pray. Offer your blood to the moon. Ask the ancestors to bless your heir.”
“Where is he, Dominic?”
“He's coming. Keep your strength.”
Selina clutches Ivy in a panic, desperate to know where her husband is. Ivy wipes the sweat from her sister's brow and smiles warmly, assuring her that Dominic is on his way. Will Dominic finish his blood moon ritual in time to see his heir born, or will Ivy's secret influence keep him away from Selina's side?
