When guards attack, she beats them back until the Overseer triggers her choking collar. Marta hits Atalanta, steals her saved money to bribe the Overseer, and insists on keeping her enslaved. As the Royal Tournament announcement echoes across the sky, Atalanta's divine crest and warrior avatar awaken.

00:00: Catching the Barbed Whip
Twenty years after King Theseus fell, slaves haul heavy rock in the arena quarry. The Overseer lashes a collapsed laborer with a barbed whip. Atalanta steps forward, grabs the spiked lash with her bare hand, and demands that he stop killing workers.
00:30: The Overseer Triggers the Collar
The Overseer orders the arena guards to slaughter Atalanta on the spot. She fights off the armed guards with her fists. The Overseer activates her choking neck collar with a remote device, dropping Atalanta to the stone ground in agony.
00:51: Marta Steals the Tournament Coin
Marta runs over, slaps Atalanta across the face, and scolds her. She rips away the money pouch Atalanta saved for tournament registration. Marta hands the coins to the Overseer to appease him, determined to keep Atalanta enslaved to protect her own daughter.

A booming proclamation announces the Royal Tournament across the heavens. Lightning crackles through the scar on Atalanta's arm. A golden divine crest ignites on her brow, and a glowing warrior goddess avatar manifests directly behind her trembling frame.
