Karen and the girl hide in an abandoned cargo container while patrol mechs scour the ruins. Karen inserts a blue energy core into a dormant android maid named Nera. Reawakening, Nera detects the girl's immense magical signature and calculates an abysmal survival chance before readying her weapons.
