The doctor stops Elena in the hospital hallway with Vanessa's test results. He explains that Vanessa has suffered critical bodily harm. He warns Elena that the fetus will likely have severe abnormalities and Vanessa may never conceive another child.

Elena walks up to Vanessa's hospital room and peers through the door glass. Ryan is sitting inside, gently rubbing Vanessa's belly. Elena listens as Ryan openly admits he poisoned Elena's daily tonic to kill her and claim her life insurance payout.

Elena stands alone in the corridor and rips Vanessa's medical paperwork into pieces. She pulls out her mobile phone and dials Elena's father. She informs him that she is ready to return home and take complete control of their family business.
