Rick
Treacherous werewolf boyfriend
Rick claims to love Cora, but his gambling debts take priority. He sells her out for a two-million-dollar bounty and calls her a wolfless freak when confronted. Discovering Cora's new mating mark enrages him. He attempts to sell her off to Silas as a toy before Enzo steps in to break his grip.
Mr. Silas

Silas is the wealthy predator looking to collect Cora after Rick calls him. He bursts into the room expecting an easy pickup of helpless goods. Instead, he finds himself face-to-face with Enzo Russo. His arrogance vanishes instantly as he stammers out the Alpha's title in horror.

Story so far

Most werewolf dramas rely on destiny to shove two strangers together. This one starts with a deliberate mistake. Cora Vance runs into a dark railway tunnel wearing a wedding dress, hunted by wolves and facing an oncoming locomotive. Rather than let her family sell her to Enzo Russo, an Alpha King she has never laid eyes on, she grabs the stranger who pulls her off the tracks and sinks her teeth into his neck. She wants autonomy. She gets an accidental mate bond with the exact man she ran away from.

Enzo Russo operates on sheer authority. He rejects the bride chosen by his pack elders, yet he claims the desperate runaway who marks him in the dark. He offers Cora a contract to play his mate to quiet his family. That fake mating arrangement gives Enzo complete control while Cora remains entirely in the dark about who he is. He knows her identity or suspects it from the start, while she assumes he is just a capable rogue who can shield her from pursuers.

The power dynamic cracks open once Cora tries to return to normal life. Rick, her boyfriend, turns out to be the man who sold her out for a two-million-dollar bounty to pay his gambling debts. Her supposed safe haven becomes an ambush. When Enzo steps through the doorway to intercept Rick's violence, Cora fears she has dragged an innocent stranger into a death sentence. Then Silas walks in and freezes in terror.
