Adrian Cross leaves the hospital abruptly after a phone call. Julian Sterling enters to mock Elara Bennett and announces that Adrian went to Celeste Monroe. Elara recalls how Julian and Adrian favored Celeste throughout their childhood. After Elara calmly accepts her reality, Julian storms out. Vivian abandons Elara to attend a New York film premiere with Richard Sterling. Elara leaves the hospital alone, packs her bags, and discovers Julian stole her grandmother's brooch.

  1. 00:00: Julian Taunts Elara in Hospital

    Adrian Cross answers a phone call and rushes out of the hospital room. Julian Sterling walks inside and mocks Elara Bennett. He tells her Adrian left to see Celeste Monroe, who returned from London, and warns her to stop expecting help.

  2. 00:19: Childhood Memories at the Manor

    A flashback displays the family estate during childhood. Julian and Adrian give all their affection and attention to Celeste. Elara attempts to win Julian's approval, but he rejects every effort she makes to fit into their circle.

  3. 00:37: A Cold Exchange and Exit

    Elara tells Julian she understands and will not hope for protection again. Julian dismisses her words as a pathetic performance for an absent audience. He insults her one last time and slams the door as he leaves the room.

  4. 00:55: Discharged from the Hospital Alone

    Elara spends a week in the hospital. Her mother Vivian has an assistant pay the medical expenses, then travels to New York with Richard Sterling for a film premiere. Elara completes her discharge process and leaves the clinic entirely on her own.

  5. 01:06: A Missing Heirloom Brooch

    Elara returns to the empty mansion and packs her luggage to leave for good. While gathering her belongings, she searches for the keepsake brooch inherited from her deceased grandmother. She realizes the valuable family heirloom has vanished from her room.

  6. 01:37: Checking the Security Tapes

    Elara enters the security room to inspect the corridor and bedroom camera recordings. The camera footage displays Julian walking into her private quarters while she was hospitalized. She watches the recording as he takes the brooch for himself.
