Mutants rise from the sands to slaughter fleeing survivors in the wasteland. A military aircraft drops Ethan Drake and other elite mercenaries into the combat zone for the Chosen Plan. Ethan kills a mutant upon impact. Ryan Harmon transforms his arm into heavy metal to smash another creature's head. When Ethan opens his holographic interface, he receives the Love System. Ryan, Trevor, and Logan mock him. The interface locks onto an SSS-class mutant named Emily Harper.

Feral mutants dig out from the desert sand dunes. They charge across the barren landscape and hunt down groups of fleeing human survivors. The monsters overwhelm the helpless runners in the post-apocalyptic wastes.
00:07: Mercenary Airdrop into the Desert
A military transport aircraft flies over the desert sky. Ethan Drake and a team of global elite mercenaries leap from the plane. They parachute down into the hostile wasteland under the survival initiative known as the Chosen Plan.
00:21: Combat Landings and Heavy Metal
Ethan lands on the sand and strikes down an attacking mutant. Nearby, his rival Ryan Harmon engages his S-rank Strength System. Ryan converts his right arm into solid metal and crushes a mutant's skull with a single blow.
00:39: Ethan Awakens the Love System
Ethan activates his holographic interface in front of the squad. He discovers that he has awakened the Love System. Ryan Harmon, Trevor, and Logan burst into laughter, ridiculing Ethan for gaining a romance system during an active apocalypse.
00:59: Targeting Emily Harper
The Love System scans the wasteland and locks onto Ethan's primary romance objective. A display panel presents an SSS-class mutant woman named Emily Harper. Her profile appears on Ethan's screen with an affection level of zero.
