After dying, Lyra enters the Soul Shop. She trades her ability to love to the witch in exchange for a second life. Lyra wakes up four years earlier on her family staircase. Her twin brother Lucian excitedly greets her as their parents, James and Maria, bring home an adopted lamb named Nova. Lyra remembers how Nova ruined her life before. When Maria calls her down, Lyra ignores them and walks to her bedroom.

  1. 00:00: A Deal in the Soul Shop

    Lyra enters the Soul Shop after dying. The witch asks what she wants, and Lyra requests a second life. Lyra offers her ability to love as payment. The witch pulls light from Lyra's chest, and Lyra falls into darkness.

  2. 01:15: Waking on the Stairs

    Lyra opens her eyes at the top of the staircase four years in the past. Lucian grabs her arm and tells her that their new sister has arrived. Lyra remembers his future cruelty and immediately yanks her arm away from him.

  3. 01:52: Nova Enters the Vale Estate

    James and Maria walk into the entrance hall with a young lamb beastgirl named Nova. Lucian runs down the steps to hand Nova candy. Both parents fuss over the girl and wrap a warm coat around her shoulders.

  4. 02:27: Memories of Past Betrayals

    Lyra recalls how her family loved her before Nova arrived. In her previous life, Nova stole Lyra's wolf fiancé Asher Grey. Lucian attacked Lyra, and her parents sent her to a psychiatric ward, where she eventually died in isolation.

  5. 03:01: Walking Away in Silence

    Lyra notices that her chest feels empty of love and pain. Downstairs, Nova greets her softly, and Maria tells her to come meet the girl. Lyra does not reply. She turns around on the landing and walks back to her room.

How will her family react when they realize Lyra no longer cares about winning their love or welcoming Nova into the house?
