Story so far
Elena builds a romantic connection online using heavily edited pictures to hide her real body. Her insecurity catches up with her the moment the man asks to meet face to face. Panicking, she deletes her profile and vanishes without a word. Months later, she attends a grand birthday gathering for her best friend, Vanessa Moore, only to discover the man she abandoned is Vanessa's brother, Vincent Moore.
Vincent is not just an ordinary ex-boyfriend. He commands the Moore mafia family. He carries a cold reputation and an intense grudge over his sudden heartbreak. Across the crowded ballroom, Elena realizes her past has found her. Vincent notices her immediately, starting a tense psychological standoff between two people hiding very different secrets.
The drama moves into close quarters when Elena joins the Moore family upstairs. Vanessa introduces her to Madam Moore, who warmly offers Elena a seat that belongs to Vincent. When Vincent arrives, he refuses to let her move. At the dinner table, he rejects an arranged marriage, while his sister openly brings up his broken heart. Elena sits beside him in silence, terrified that her real identity is slipping out.
Power tilts steadily toward Vincent. He questions Elena directly, testing her reactions to see why she cowers under his gaze. Vanessa remains oblivious to the history between them, even noting that Vincent never bothers to memorize names yet spoke Elena's without hesitation. When Vincent asks for documents at the docks, Vanessa pushes Elena directly into his path, forcing another confrontation.
