Gwendolyn's audacity pushes the conflict past the point of repair. She promises Cameron twenty million dollars to resolve the mess. Then she dials Alexander to demand that exact cash amount from him directly. Hotel security already knows Cameron frequents the executive suites. That fact confirms an entire network of betrayal operates beneath Alexander's roof. Alexander cuts the call with an excuse about poor signal.
